This project was something we could relate to in our daily life. Nowadays most of our family members are used to taking medicines every day, especially old parents. But due to our fast life or lack of memory, most of the time we usually forgot to take our medicines on time. That may be the case with our lovely children or our parents who are living away from us. There are so many mobile applications available in the market for medicine reminders. But they are handling the individual person’s cases only. Users may need to use different applications in case of an emergency or for taking doctor appointments or finding old prescriptions.
Developed a mobile app in which users can control all medical-related activities of all the family members including the medicine-taking alarm even though they are in a remote location or in travel. Our main aim was to simplify the use of mobile applications for older people and give them a feeling of family caring for them even if they are alone at home.
The app can be used as two different profiles one is for the person who manage the main app and the second one is for the parent, child, or patient. In case they missed some alarms we have provided an option to get notified and there will be an option to make a video call in the system itself or can make an SOS alert.
We have also provided a couple of options like Doctor appointment booking, prescription management, custom alert management, SOS alert, insurance management, health progress etc..
I reached out to my wife and parents to understand their needs mostly in an informal conversation as they are always willing to share their thoughts and feelings with me
Did market research on different apps providing similar services and found that most of the apps focused on individual care. Being a family man, maybe, his parents live in different locations, so it’s too difficult to track his parent’s health status
I have used pencil and paper to create wireframes. This helped me to study how we can improve the features and to understand what are all the circumstances may come
